Incorporated in 1991, Lake Forest is home to a population of about 78,000. Nestled in the Saddleback Valley the densely populated city is about 45 miles south of Los Angeles and Hollywood. A master-planned community, with two of its own man-made lakes, many condominiums and custom homes line the shores. The Lake Forest Beach and Tennis Club and Sun and Sail Club offer residents many activities, including tennis, basketball, volleyball, swimming, and many planned community events. Many public parks and the Whiting Ranch Regional Wilderness Park surround family living with homes to meet all needs, from custom estates to condominiums. Lake Forest is ranked one of the safest cities in the country.
Notable as the home of Rick Warren’s famed mega-church, Saddleback Church (the eighth largest church in the United States) Lake Forest is also known for the city’s business, industrial and commercial office parks with companies including Oakley, Wet Seal, Del Taco corporate offices, Panasonic Avioncs, Apria Healthcare and Western Digitial. With the feel of a small city but the convenience of a large metropolitan city, Lake Forest is nearby the merger of Interstate 5 and the 405 freeway, as well as, the 241 toll road.
Lake Forest is served by the Saddleback Valley Unified School District with many elementary schools, middle schools and one high school. It is also home to the largest public skeatepark with over 40,000 square feet, etnies Skatepark.
